Legal Terms, Service Policies & Privacy Notice
Last updated: December 4, 2025
Welcome to The To Do Crew (“we,” “us,” “our”). This page explains the legal terms, service policies, and privacy practices that apply when you use our website (todocrew.net), submit a booking, or receive services from our subcontracted technicians (“Technicians”). By accessing our website or requesting our services, you agree to the terms below.
SECTION 1: Terms & Conditions
1. Scope of Services
The To Do Crew provides handyman and on-site services including, but not limited to:
- TV mounting
- Fixture installation or replacement
- Furniture and equipment assembly
- Network and low-voltage cabling
- Appliance and equipment moves
- General handyman tasks
We do not provide licensed electrical, licensed plumbing, HVAC, roofing, structural, or permit-required work. If such work is discovered or required, we may refer you to a licensed professional and pause or decline the job.
We reserve the right to decline work that falls outside our scope or licensing requirements, cannot be completed safely, violates building codes, or presents hazards.
2. Subcontractor Status
The To Do Crew operates using vetted and insured independent subcontractors (“Technicians”). By booking with us, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Technicians are independent contractors and not employees of The To Do Crew.
- We coordinate communication, scheduling, billing, and quality oversight.
- All payments must be made to The To Do Crew, not directly to a Technician.
3. Online Booking
Booking requests through todocrew.net or our scheduling system are not guaranteed until reviewed and confirmed by our team. We may adjust appointment times based on location, service requirements, and Technician availability.
You agree to provide accurate information, describe requested services clearly, and ensure access to the property during the scheduled window.
4. Pricing, Estimates & Adjustments
Pricing shown online is baseline and may vary based on actual site conditions. On-site changes may require price adjustments due to:
- Additional labor or time needed
- Additional or specialized materials
- Issues with customer-supplied products
- Safety, access, or installation complications
Technicians may update the job description and/or invoice to reflect the actual conditions encountered and the work you approve.
5. Deposits
A deposit of up to 25% may be required for:
- Quoted jobs and larger or multi-hour projects
- Projects requiring material purchases
- Specialty or custom work
Deposits may become non-refundable once a time slot is reserved or materials are ordered. Deposits are generally applied to your final invoice.
6. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Payment is due immediately upon completion for standard handyman services.
- Accepted payment methods are those supported through our invoicing system (e.g., card, ACH).
Late payments:
- After 14 days past due: a $25 late fee may be applied.
- After 30 days past due: up to 2% monthly interest may be applied (or the maximum allowed by Texas law).
We may suspend or refuse future service for accounts with past due balances and may refer unpaid balances to collections.
7. Materials & Parts
Common consumables (such as basic screws, anchors, and fasteners) are included at no charge. Materials beyond typical consumables will be billed to the client and may include a modest markup to cover sourcing and handling.
We do not provide any warranty for customer-supplied materials or products. If customer-supplied items are defective, incompatible, or cause delays, additional labor charges may apply.
8. Access & Property Requirements
You agree to:
- Provide clear and safe access to the property and work areas.
- Keep pets and children away from the workspace and tools.
- Disclose any known hazards, such as electrical issues, leaks, or structural problems.
If we arrive and cannot safely perform the work or cannot access the property, a trip charge may be applied.
9. 30-Day Workmanship Warranty
The To Do Crew provides a 30-day workmanship warranty on labor performed by our Technicians, unless otherwise specified in writing.
This warranty covers:
- Defects in our labor
- Issues directly resulting from work performed by our Technician
This warranty does not apply to:
- Customer-supplied materials or products
- Pre-existing or unrelated issues
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse, accidental damage, or alterations by others after our work is completed
Warranty-related requests must be submitted within 30 days of the service completion date.
10. Limitation of Liability
The To Do Crew is insured and requires subcontractors to maintain valid liability insurance. We are not liable for hidden conditions inside walls, ceilings, floors, or systems (including electrical and plumbing), nor for damages resulting from inaccurate information or defective customer-supplied materials.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed.
SECTION 2: Service Policies
1. Scheduling & Arrival Windows
Standard operating hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with limited weekend availability. Technicians may arrive at any time within the scheduled arrival window. If delays occur, we will communicate with you as soon as reasonably possible.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
To keep scheduling fair for all clients:
- Rescheduling or cancelling an appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled time may result in a $35 late-change fee or forfeiture of deposit.
- If a Technician arrives and cannot access the property or cannot complete the work due to undisclosed conditions, a trip charge may be added.
3. Safety
We reserve the right to refuse or pause work if unsafe conditions exist, including but not limited to: hazardous electrical conditions, structural concerns, or any environment that places the Technician at risk.
4. Service Limitations
The To Do Crew does not perform:
- Licensed electrical work
- Licensed plumbing work
